Female graduate from Gwinnet Tech

If you plan to continue taking courses after completing your current program of study, it is important that you complete a new admissions application for your new program to not cause any issues with your financial aid.

You will want to apply for graduation prior to your last semester of studies, or by April 1 if you plan to participate in the Spring Commencement – whichever comes first.

Register for Commencement

After you have successfully applied for graduation, students will be sent emails from MarchingOrder.com with the link to additionally, register for the Commencement ceremony. Please visit Student Commencement for information on the ceremony.

Note: Participation in the Commencement ceremony is not mandatory. Physical credentials will not be distributed during the ceremony. Please see the instructions below on how to receive your graduation credential.

Receiving Your Graduation Award

When you walk in front of the stage to receive your credential, you’ll receive a vinyl blue diploma cover. Credentials awarded each semester will be made available to students digitally from congratulations@parchment.com on the following schedule:

  • Fall e-credentials will be available beginning January 15
  • Spring e-credentials will be available beginning June 15
  • Summer e-credentials will be available beginning August 15
Verifying your Graduation Award

Once you have completed all academic requirements (grades posted and graduation audit completed), your degree/diploma/certificate award(s) will be posted in the college student records database system and will be reflected on your transcript, which you can see online at Gwinnett Tech Banner. You will have received your digital e-diploma as proof or your earned credential. Certificates will be digital only; however, Degrees and Diplomas will be printed and mailed by Parchment. Once issued, students will have 72-hours to verify their mailing address. If not verified, the credentials will be mailed to the address on file in Banner.
