Mini-Mester C is a rigorous 8-week term that happens during the second half of the semester. There are limited course offerings and a shortened registration period.
Students wishing to start their course work during mini-mester C at Gwinnett Tech are required to complete a mandatory orientation session. The orientation session is 60 minutes, with time for questions and answers.
In order to start your coursework during Mini-Mester C, follow these steps.
- Complete your (Application) to Gwinnett Tech, provide the required documentation and get admitted to Gwinnett Tech. (https://www.gwinnetttech.edu/enrollment/admission-requirements/)
- Deadline for guaranteed admission for Mini-Mester C is February 12, 2021. After that date, we will continue to process application materials, but cannot guarantee that you will be able to register for Spring 2021 Mini-Mester C classes.
- Sign-up for an orientation session using the links below. (See Orientation chart below)
- Meet with an enrollment advisor to discuss your course selection and review current Course Offerings
- Check to make sure courses needed for your program of study are being offered during mini-mester C.
- Attend the REQUIRED orientation and follow the instructions provided during the orientation to complete the orientation requirement.
- Register for classes during the registration period February 24 through March 9, 2021.
- Pay for classes by the payment deadline of April 25, 2021. All dates and deadlines can be found on the Academic Calendar

There are NO on-campus orientation sessions for Mini-Mester C spring 2021. All Mini-Mester C orientation sessions will be held live and will use WebEx to facilitate the session.
WebEx is an online meeting tool used at Gwinnett Tech to facilitate online events, like orientation. It is free to use for all students.
Review the online help materials. You can also search for instructions to troubleshoot your particular issue.
WebEx is available on PC and Mac computers, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices. If you do not have a stable internet connection at home, please contact studentsuccess@gwinnetttech.edu to discuss options for you to access Mini-Mester C orientation.
You should plan to open WebEx and get logged into the session at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. DO NOT wait until the last minute to attempt to connect to the meeting. Make sure to review instructions and connection troubleshooting with WebEx prior to the date of your orientation.
Due to the mandatory nature of the session, students will NOT be permitted to sign-in for registration access if they arrive more than 15 minutes late after the orientation has started.

Online and in-person courses are going to be available for students who register during Mini-Mester C. If there is a building number/room number listed, that course has required on-campus meetings. Review the Class Schedule for additional details.
Gwinnett Tech does not offer a waitlist option. If a section is closed we encourage you to check for course openings throughout the registration period.
The Mini-Mester C orientation will last approximately one hour with 30 minutes for questions. After the orientation, students must complete the orientation completion requirements.
The WebEx meeting will be locked after 15 minutes have passed. Students will not be able to attend the session if they attempt to access the WebEx meeting 15 minutes after the published start time.
No. Students must attend the on-campus Mini-Mester C orientation and registration session in order to receive access to register for Mini-Mester C classes. Students who either miss attending the sessions, arrive too late for sign-in, or have schedule conflicts will not be eligible to receive registration access for Mini-Mester C classes. Students who do not attend an orientation session would need to register in the next regular registration period for the following semester.
Yes. Registration access is only given to students who attend the Mini-Mester C orientation sessions for that specific Mini-Mester C registration period. Prior campus New Student Orientation, online orientation, or Mini-Mester C orientation completion in the past does not waive the requirement to attend the Mini-Mester C session to receive access for the current Mini-Mester C registration period.

You can view the live online orientation session with your family members. Students are responsible for signing up for the orientation session.
