Gwinnett Tech’s mission guides the college in its efforts to prepare adults for the workforce. Many of the college’s program accrediting bodies require students to successfully pass discipline-specific certification exams (designed to test a student’s knowledge of the field) as a condition of accreditation. Certification/Licensure exam rates indicate the percentage of students who passed the exam. Gwinnett Tech’s high licensure rates are a reflection of the College’s impact on students, which – in turn – enables them to excel in their careers.

Additionally, students graduating with Barbering, Cosmetology, Respiratory Therapy or Nursing degrees must be licensed by the Georgia State Board and pass discipline-specific certification exams in order to gain licensure.
