Licensure And Placement
Gwinnett Tech’s mission guides the college in its efforts to prepare adults for the workforce. Many of the college’s program accrediting bodies require students to successfully pass discipline-specific certification exams (designed to test a student’s knowledge of the field) as a condition of accreditation. Certification/Licensure exam rates indicate the percentage of students who passed the exam. Gwinett Tech’s high licensure rates are a reflection of the college’s impact on students, which – in turn – enable them to excel in their careers.
Additionally, students graduating from the Cosmetology, Respiratory Therapy or Nursing programs must be licensed by their Georgia State Board and must pass discipline-specific certification exams in order to gain that licensure.
