Dental Assisting

A Dental Assisting diploma or certificate from Gwinnett Tech prepares you to enter the growing field of healthcare. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts an 18% job growth for dental assistants from 2014 - 2024. Gwinnett Tech’s Dental Assisting program trains students to care for patients in dental offices, preparing them for dental treatments. Students gain hands on training including: instruction in dental assisting with chair-side and laboratory procedures, adjunctive patient care, dental office management, infection control and patient education. The Dental Assisting program at Gwinnett Tech gives students the confidence and skills needed to begin their career in this exciting field. Graduates of the program receive the Georgia Radiation Safety and Expanded Duties certification and are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board exam.

This program is offered at Gwinnett Tech's Lawrenceville campus.

Gwinnett Tech's Dental Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
