The Board of Trustees of the Gwinnett Tech Foundation has again been honored for "dedicated work and exceptional service" by the state Technical College Foundation Association (TCFA). The TCFA awarded the prestigious designation of “Role Model Board” during the Technical College System of Georgia's 2015 Leadership Conference in late October.
The association's Role Model Award is presented annually to state technical college foundations that demonstrate outstanding business practices and the highest level of commitment to their colleges and students. The Role Model Board designation recognizes that the Gwinnett Tech Foundation operates at the highest standard of legal and financial standards, and that its trustees are active and engaged in the Foundation's development initiatives.
"This recognition speaks to the tireless work our trustees do on behalf of our College, our students, and our community, who all greatly benefit from their leadership," said Mary Beth Byerly, vice president, Institutional Advancement. “With the direction and leadership of these individuals, we can focus on breaking down the barriers between students and the goal of college graduation, advancing their learning experience and expanding professional development opportunities for our faculty.”
Gwinnett Technical College offers more than 150 degree, diploma and certificate program options that can be completed in two years or less. For more information, visit www.GwinnettTech.edu or call 770-962-7580.
