Echocardiography Technology

Gwinnett Tech’s Cardiovascular Echocardiography program prepares students to provide patient care as a cardiac sonographer. Students learn to use ultrasound waves to create images of the heart muscle, valves and blood vessels, as well as techniques to correctly position and obtain ultrasound images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular disease. Our Echocardiography program prepares students for employment in hospitals, physician offices and urgent care facilities.

The Gwinnett Technical College Cardiovascular Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology (JRC-CVT).
