Join the Career Services Center for our free career development sessions including annual career conference and career fair!  Individual workshops will focus on your digital footprint, interview tips, salary negotiation and more.  Students graduating Spring 2018 are strongly encouraged to attend these events!

Students are invited to stop by for coffee and pastries. The purpose of this event is to acquaint students with Career Services and WIOA. Students will learn about services offered by both departments and upcoming events.

We understand how overwhelming it can feel when you're faced with repaying student loans. Attend this session and learn about options open to you and how to make informed decisions that align with your personal financial goals.

Résumé Clinic
Date: Wednesday, February 1, 2018
Time: 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Building 100, Room 813
Attend this hands-on clinic and learn how to fine tune your résumé to make it stand out. Prerequisite: MUST have a completed résumé that simply needs reviewing or polishing. Bring a job posting representing the type of position you are pursuing and bring résumé on a flash drive and a member of Career Services can help you to get it into tip-top shape. 

Are you the ideal Job Seeker?

Ever wondered what employers look for on résumés to select interview candidates? Attend this session to learn the importance of having a clear, focused résumé that delivers what employers seek. Participants will also learn: where to look for jobs, how to use LinkedIn, preparation for career fairs, and the importance of follow up and developing a professional network.

I Got the Interview...Now what?

You've almost got the job...so don't bomb the interview! Most job seekers know that the interview is the last major hurdle before getting a job. Unfortunately, most don’t adequately prepare for this important step. In this session participants will learn about the different types of interviews, effective interviewing techniques, how to articulate work experience and what to do after the interview.

When it comes to keeping your personal and financial information safe, it’s important to be proactive. Attend this session and learn fraud prevention tips and how to reduce your risk of identity theft.

Career Conference

The Career Conference provides much needed outreach, support, and career education to students who are exploring their options for careers and job search strategies. Over the course of a day, students will attend intensive workshops that cover everything from identifying skills and talents to launching a job search to effectively using social media.

Credit Fundamentals

Using credit is a fact of life in our society, but is it all good? Learn how to be a smart user of credit, the advantages and disadvantages of credit; why good credit habits pay off; how to rebuild your credit – and how all of this may affect your job search.

The Spring 2018 Career & Internship Fair connects students and alumni with top-notch companies at just the right time!  Whether you are seeking an internship, part-time or full-time employment participate in this "just-In-time" career fair to meet and network with numerous employers all in one place.  This campus-wide career and internship fair is open to students and alumni across all academic programs.
