What can I expect from the Online Business Technology program?

In this program, you learn critical office and technology skills that encompass a wide range of hardware, software, and services that keep companies running and enhance operations.

The Business Technology program is designed to prepare students for a variety of positions in today’s technology-driven workforce. An emphasis is placed on Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. The Business Technology program offers four certificate programs that can be achieved in two to three semesters; two diploma programs which may be completed in four semesters; and an Associate of Applied Science Degree which may be completed in five semesters. Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology are covered in this program.

Students are also introduced to accounting fundamentals, electronic communications, internet research, and electronic file management.

Gwinnett Tech offers affordability at $100 per credit hour + fees. Great opportunities for scholarships and financial aid with HOPE Grant, HOPE scholarship, HOPE Career Grants, and more!

This program currently offers one HOPE Career Grant. HOPE Career Grants provide free tuition assistance toward educational costs for eligible students enrolled in an approved designated program of study. Students must be eligible for and receiving, the HOPE Grant or Zell Miller Grant to be awarded the HOPE Career Grant. It provides assistance with educational costs that are not covered by the HOPE or Zell Miller Grants.
