Gwinnett Technical College Receives $12,315 Grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to Support Adult Literacy
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded Gwinnett Technical College a $12,315 grant to support adult literacy. This local grant award is part of more than $7.5 million in grants awarded to nearly 900 schools, nonprofits and organizations across the 44 states that Dollar General serves.
Gwinnett Tech will use the grant to purchase 15 computers for the adult education computer lab. These computers will support adult learners earning their GED® and continuing their education.
"We are thrilled to be the recipient of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. This grant will assist Gwinnett Tech in continuing our vision to prepare a competitive workforce in the Gwinnett and North Fulton communities," stated Vice President, Academic Affairs, Rebecca Alexander.
