Gwinnett Tech's Bioscience program prepares students to perform in a number of biotechnology-related careers, including laboratory research, pharmaceuticals and bio-manufacturing. With sophisticated laboratory training, students will gain experience in techniques such as DNA manipulation and analysis, protein analysis and tissue culture.
According to Select Georgia, Atlanta ranks 5th for bio-related occupational employment and has 570 bioscience facilities employing nearly 24,000 people. In addition to working in the industry, many Bioscience program graduates transfer to four-year colleges to pursue a Bachelor in Science degree. Graduates from Gwinnett Tech learn advanced laboratory skills which provide an extensive advantage over their colleagues.
