Annuals, perennials, herbs and house plants among offerings
Gwinnett Technical College's Environmental Horticulture program is hosting its annual community plant sale from April 17 – 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Gwinnett Technical College Greenhouse.
In partnership with Gwinnett County Public Library, landscape designer and author Jane Bath will be speaking on April 17 at 11 a.m. about gardening and landscape design solutions that are included in her popular book, The Landscape Design Answer Book. Her book will be available for purchase and signing from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
"We're very excited about this year's spring plant sale! Our students have been working hard to fill up our greenhouse with a beautiful and wide variety of plants," said Aaron Poulsen, Environmental Horticulture program director. "I'm looking forward to selling our plants to raise funds for our program and providing an opportunity for attendees to talk with Jane about landscaping for their home."
Gwinnett Tech Environmental Horticulture program holds a community plant sale annually to sell the plants the students have grown to the community. Plants featured include a wide assortment of annuals, perennials, herbs, tropicals, houseplants and vines.
The GTC Greenhouse is located adjacent to Building 600 on the Gwinnett Tech campus.
Gwinnett Tech offers an associate degree and a diploma program in Environmental Horticulture, plus certificate options that train students for employment as a landscape design technician, landscape/greenhouse installation technician and in floral design.
