What’s technical college?
Technical colleges offer career-directed education and training, designed to provide students the knowledge and skills they need to enter the workplace and be successful. Students may graduate with a two-year associate of applied science degree in their field of study, or pursue a diploma or certificate option that can be completed in just a few quarters.
Does technical college work?
You bet. At Gwinnett Tech, our graduate job placement rate is 96%. Many of our programs have internships or clinical programs that provide students real-world experience while they study, making finding employment far easier. Our Career Services Center works with thousands of students each year to help them find that all-important first job. What can my child study?
Gwinnett Tech offers more than 140 program options in areas like marketing, business management, computer information systems, early childhood education, drafting, health sciences, nursing, cosmetology, criminal justice, automotive technology, visual arts, fashion and design, and more. No problem. Our Assessment Center offers free personality and career testing that can help your child decide what type of job is best for them. Our counselors are available to help each student map out an education and career path.

Can we afford it?
Technical college is one of the most affordable higher education options. Gwinnett Tech’s average tuition (depending on how many classes you take) is $475 a quarter. Will technical college courses transfer?
Gwinnett Tech has transfer agreements with the University System of Georgia. Core courses, like freshman level English and math credits, are guaranteed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities throughout the state,
