Gwinnett Tech has earned of reputation for excellence in emergency services education with several key distinctions. The college's EMT-Paramedic program is the only program in Georgia to be accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Additionally, Gwinnett Tech is the only technical college in the state to provide a certificate in crisis management.
