Program Description
The landscape installation technician certificate prepares students for career opportunities in the landscape industry, one of the fastest-growing areas of horticulture with tremendous growth potential. Students will receive hands-on instruction in the identification of commonly used plant material as well as instruction in how to grow, establish and maintain plants in the landscape environment. Courses will help students become aware of the business side of landscaping as well as the scientific theory behind standard industry practices. This program provides courses that will produce a well-rounded landscape professional with a solid background in plant and hardscape installation and management. Technical courses apply to the degree or diploma program in environmental horticulture. This certificate does not qualify for financial aid as it does not meet minimum hour requirements. (Program Length: 2 Semesters Minimum)
