English as a Second Language Class description

Levels:  
Foundations, Beginning, High Beginning, Low Intermediate, Intermediate, High Intermediate, Low Advanced, Advanced, High Advanced, and TOEFL / Business English

Intensive English as a Second Language: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Intensive ESL classes are designed for students who want to learn English as quickly as possible.  These classes are 4 days a week for intensive English learning. Students will have lessons in Vocabulary, Social Language & Conversation, Listening, Grammar, Reading and Writing and Pronunciation.  These classes are designed for students who need to improve their English skills rapidly for work or to enter into College. 

English as a Second Language Grammar: Monday and Wednesday
We teach with an integrated approach that blends grammar, content, reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a complete program. This helps prepare students to use and understand English more accurately and fluently.

English as a Second Language Everyday Conversation: Tuesday and Thursday or Saturdays
Build your vocabulary and conversation skills by talking with one another about everyday topics. Students will work on pronunciation and being understood.

TOEFL Skills Prep:  Monday and Wednesday
Prepare for the demands of college-level academic listening, speaking, reading and writing as on the TOEFL iBT. Practice listening to lectures, taking notes and organizing information for speaking and writing.

TOEFL Test Prep:  Tuesday and Thursday or Saturdays
Prepare to take the TOEFL test. Practice the four skills of the TOEFL test of academic listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Students will work on test taking strategies and time management specific for the TOEFL iBT.
