Gwinnett Tech Ranks Seventh in Nation among Top 100 One-Year Certificate Producers
16 Georgia Technical Colleges are on National List

Gwinnett Technical College ranked seventh on Community College Week (CCW) magazine's 2011 list of the Top 100 One-Year Certificate Producers. Gwinnett Tech awarded 2,217 certificates for the 2009-2010 academic year, the timeframe analyzed by CCW.

"We put a top priority on helping our students complete their programs of study and earn their graduation awards," says GTC President Sharon Bartels. "More so than the ranking, we're proud that our students are being successful in college and in achieving their ultimate career goals."

In June, Gwinnett Tech graduated a record number of students for the 2010-2011 academic year – more than 1,200 to date. The 1,207 graduates represent more than 2,352 awards conferred, as many Gwinnett Tech students earn multiple graduate awards.

Earlier this year, Community College Week ranked Gwinnett Tech 11th among the nation's fastest growing two-year colleges of similar size.

Gwinnett Tech is now enrolling for Fall Semester, with classes beginning August 24. This term will mark the college's move to a semester academic calendar.
