What is Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management?

The hotel, restaurant, and tourism management degree prepares students to begin successful careers in the hospitality industry. The hospitality industry is the number one industry in the Atlanta metro area and the number two industry in Georgia. Numerous career opportunities are available in food and beverage management, hotel management, or tourism management. The program also helps students with customer service and management skills, key ingredients in obtaining any business-related job. The associate degree program includes courses in hotel/restaurant/tourism management and college-level general education courses.

Applicants to the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Program must meet all Admissions requirements; complete an application and pay the application fee. Apply to Gwinnett Technical College at and submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the ACCUPLACER test if required.
