Gwinnett Tech Horticulture Program Hosts Fall Plant Sale Oct. 14 – 16

GWINNETT – NORTH FULTON

Gwinnett Technical College’s Environmental Horticulture program is hosting its annual community plant sale Oct. 14 – 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the campus greenhouse near Building 600.

The Gwinnett Tech Environmental Horticulture program holds a community plant sale in the fall and spring to sell the plants the students have grown. Offered at the sale will be:

  • Fall annuals: pansies and violas at $10 per flat
  • Snapdragons
  • Ornamental Cabbage and Kale
  • Butterfly Milkweed
  • 3 gallon Gardenia
  • Climbing Hydrangea Vine
  • ‘Arctic Fire’ Dogwood
  • ‘Annabelle’ Hydrangea
  • White Wood Aster
  • ‘Little Lime’ Hydrangea
  • ‘Pinky Winky’ Hydrangea
  • ‘Mercury Rising’ Coreopsis
  • Tea Olive
  • Fall herbs: cilantro, parsley
  • Fall vegetables: romaine lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, collards, bok choy
  • Ornamental Grasses

 

The GTC greenhouse is located adjacent to Building 600 on the Gwinnett Tech campus, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Cash and checks are preferred, but cards will be accepted by the Business Office in Building 100.

 

Gwinnett Tech offers an associate degree and a diploma program in Environmental Horticulture, plus certificate options that train students for employment as a landscape design technician, landscape/greenhouse installation technician and in floral design.
