Gwinnett Tech, Georgia Tech and Gwinnett Chamber Partner to Present Lunch and Learn

Gwinnett Technical College will host another in a series of lunch and learn events targeting manufacturers in the region with a special presentation on maintenance excellence. Scheduled for Dec. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in The Busbee Center (Building 700) at Gwinnett Tech, the event will feature information on preventing problems with safety, quality, productivity and customer delivery that are caused by equipment issues in a manufacturing facility.

Cost for the session is $15, and includes lunch, networking, the presentation, case study and a question and answer period. Manufacturing Supply Chain Council Members receive a $5 discount. The series, which is co-sponsored by Gwinnett Technical College, the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute and the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce, has been designed to provide actionable tips and tools of the trade specifically designed to help Georgia Manufacturers grow their business.

The session, titled “Maintenance Excellence: A proactive approach to improving equipment reliability,” will be taught by John Kravontka of Fuss & O’Neil Manufacturing Solutions. Suggested participants include maintenance managers, operations managers, plant managers or anyone with an interest in creating a preventative maintenance plan at their company.

Kravontka is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, a Training Specialist, Maintenance Professional and Continuous Improvement Consultant. He has more than 40 years of training, troubleshooting and rebuild/retrofit experience with all types of machine tools and equipment. Kravontka uses many Lean Manufacturing methodologies to help his clients increase their equipment productivity and reliability. His strength has been to transfer that knowledge and experience, providing immediate and sustainable results for his clients.
