You're ready to apply, but there are a few details and requirements to take care of first. Are you old enough? Do you have the right education credentials? Do you have the test scores that you need?
Our admission requirements are explained here. If you have any questions, feel free to call our Admissions Office at 678-226-6616 or send us an email.
You must be at least 16 years of age to apply, and several programs have higher age requirements. Cosmetology and health program applicants must be at least 17. Paramedic technology applicants must be 18 years old upon completion of the program.
Students participating in the MOWR program must be a minimum of age 14 by the first day of the semester; be approved and classified as a 9th, 10th, 11th and/or 12th grader by an eligible high school and meet all other Gwinnett Tech admissions requirements.
The minimum education requirement for all programs of study is a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED®) diploma. If you need to earn your GED®, Gwinnett Tech serves as a GED® test center and offers GED® test preparation services.
We accept a variety of entrance exams, and the exam/score that you need depends on the program to which you want to apply.
With your educational goals in mind, review our test requirement information to see which test/score is needed for you.
If you apply to an associate's degree, diploma or certificate program, you must take Gwinnett Tech's ACCUPLACER placement exam, unless you have acceptable SAT, ACT, CPE or ASSET scores taken within the past five years.
