Career Track Overview
When you were a kid, you probably played "teacher" from time to time. Remember the thrill of leading your class and teaching your friends (or dolls) the ABCs? Well, that thrill can be yours again with a degree or diploma in early childhood care and education.
There's no better place to study early childhood care and education than Gwinnett Tech. Students receive training in a live learning lab and state-of-the-art facility, the D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. Early Education Center. Providing top-notch instruction and hands-on experience, the facility draws students from across the region who observe and learn in this real-world childcare and pre-school center.
The associate's degree in early childhood care and education will prepare you for a career as a paraprofessional, early childhood program management director or lead teacher in an early childhood program in just six quarters. The diploma program is just four quarters and prepares you to enter the field as an assistant teacher.
