Event Coordinator

SES1
Program Description
The event coordinator certificate prepares students to do meeting and event planning for hotels, convention centers, retirement communities, recreation departments, corporations, professional associations, non-profit organizations, or other entities that do business with the travel and tourism industry. Topics include budgeting, timing, location, catering, contract negotiations, marketing, staffing, protocol and etiquette, security, legal and ethical issues, and accommodating clients with special needs. Technical courses apply to the degree or diploma program in hotel, restaurant, and tourism management. This certificate does not qualify for financial aid as it does not meet minimum hour requirements. (Program Length: 1 Semester Minimum)
