Gwinnett Tech Serves Largest Number of GED® Test Takers in Georgia

GTC posts largest growth in GED® test takers between 2008 & 2009

Gwinnett Technical College was recognized by the Technical College System of Georgia's GED® Testing Program for having the largest number of GED® test takers in the state last year.

Gwinnett Tech was also recognized among the large-sized GED® testing centers in Georgia as having the largest growth in the number of test takers between 2008 and 2009. Gwinnett Tech administered the GED® tests to 1,566 students in 2008 and 1,832 students in 2009, an increase of 17 percent.

"Earning the GED® credential is vital to students who want to advance in their job, open themselves to additional career opportunities and continue their education at the college level. We're very proud of our role in helping so many individuals earn this important credential," says Alberto Leyva, director of adult education, Gwinnett Tech.
