You can find out who can help you choose the right career path at the Career Service Center, or use GTC advisors to help you decide which courses will help you reach your goals quickly.

These and many more services and resources are available to help you achieve success at Gwinnett Tech and in your chosen career. If you’re looking for a little extra computer time to study your programming assignment, or need a computer to work on your final report - a number of computers are available to you on Gwinnett Tech's campus, including:

The Student Open Lab (located in Building 100, Room 723) houses 42 computers and the 700 Student Open Lab (located in Building 700, Room 2304) has 22. These labs are open when GTC classes are in session.

You must have a student ID to use a computer on campus.

Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

An additional 16 computers are available in the Learning Success Center located in Building 100, Room 910. The Center has tutors to assist enrolled students in English, math and/or reading classes.

Tutor schedules and hours may vary. Normal hours are:

Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

This lab is closed during final exams, and the first 2 days of class each quarter. For more information, call 678-226-6653

The SCT 100 Lab (Building 700, Room 2307) is the site of orientation for students taking SCT 100 online as well as help for students needing additional tutoring for any SCT 100 class.

Tutors are available when the lab is open (hours are subject to change):

Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
Friday & Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

In addition to the open labs available during posted hours, there are 26 computer labs with 431 computers located through the campus that are scheduled for student use during classes.

The library, located in Building 100, has 28 computer workstations. The Library hours are:

During Academic Quarter
Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 8:30 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Between Academic Quarters
Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The library is closed whenever the college is closed and hours may vary between academic quarters. Please call the library to confirm this schedule 770-962-7580, ext. 6388 or 6270.

Success Plus is a program of workshops, training sessions and seminars for students. Its purpose is to promote student success by providing opportunities to broaden and enrich students’ educational experiences while embracing workforce achievement and life-long learning skills. Workshops offered throughout the quarter may include study skills, career-seeking skills and leadership skills. Call 678-226-6735 for more information on student success workshops.

College Study Skills is a two-credit course designed to help students with study skills and habits. Content includes learning styles, goal setting, adapting to higher education, time management, memorization, note taking, test taking and critical thinking.
