Gwinnett Tech Awards Scholarships

The Gwinnett Tech Foundation awarded 54 scholarships totaling $47,450 last year, recognizing students for various achievements in academic, vocational and occupational skills, as well as overall leadership and teamwork.

These scholarship students were among those recognized at the college's spring Award Ceremony, where more than 200 students were honored for academic excellence and achievement.

"The Awards Ceremony is an annual highlight for us – a deserving celebration of the achievements of so many students who go above and beyond each year," says Sharon Bartels, president, Gwinnett Technical College.

The culmination of the ceremony program was the naming of Gwinnett Tech's 2008 Distinguished Student, Kateri Pletcher, a Surgical Technology student.
