Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Tech Partner to Sponsor Educational Series for Area Manufacturers
Finding Cost Savings in New Ways, June 26, 11:30 a.m.
Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Tech are partnering to present "Energy Management Systems: Finding Cost Savings in New Ways," a luncheon event in the Manufacturing Growth Education Series.
The event will be held June 26 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at The Busbee Center on the campus of Gwinnett Tech. The cost is $15 and includes lunch, networking, presentation, and a case study. Manufacturing Supply Chain Council Members receive a $5 discount.
Bill Meffert, group manager for the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) at Georgia Tech, will be the speaker. His work was instrumental in developing ISO 50001, the international standard for energy management systems.
By attending this meeting, you will:
- Hear the benefits of implementing and energy management framework
- Discover the different between ISO 50001 and other ISO management systems
- Learn the six key components to building an effective energy management system
- Gain key steps to getting started
- Learn how to incorporate energy management into day-to-day business practices
The lunch and learn educational series takes place quarterly at Gwinnett Tech's Busbee Center and delivers actionable tips and tools of the trade specifically designed to help Georgia's manufacturers.
The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce's Partnership Gwinnett is also sponsoring the event.
