Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Tech Partner to Sponsor Educational Series for Area Manufacturers
Program designed to help Georgia's manufacturers grow their business
Gwinnett Technical College and Georgia Tech are partnering to present "Strategic Thinking: A Practical Guide to Total Company Involvement," a luncheon event that is part of the Manufacturing Growth Education Series.
The event will be held September 24 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at The Busbee Center on the campus of Gwinnett Tech in Room 1.309. The cost is $15 and includes lunch, networking, presentation, and a case study. Manufacturing Supply Chain Council Members receive a $5 discount.
"This educational programming provides an opportunity for Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Tech to extend our services to the manufacturing community with an opportunity that can enrich their business or staff development," said Dave McCulloch, Gwinnett Tech's Vice President of Economic Development.
The lunch and learn educational series takes place quarterly at Gwinnett Tech's Busbee Center and delivers actionable tips and tools of the trade specifically designed to help Georgia's manufacturers.
Topics to be discussed include:
- The principles of Hoshin Kanri, the Japanese method of cross-functional strategic planning
- Practical advice on achieving alignment throughout all levels of their company
- Understanding why strategic plans fail and how organization can avoid similar pitfalls
- How to best employ resources according to their organization's strategic direction
Community organizations that are also partnering on the series include Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce's Partnership Gwinnett and Next Generation Manufacturing.
