Gwinnett Tech Commencement Honors Over 930 Graduates

Associate degree graduates up almost 48 percent from last year

What:
The faculty, staff and students of Gwinnett Technical College will celebrate commencement tomorrow evening, Thurs., June 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the Gwinnett Arena. The college is honoring a record number of graduates – more than 930 to date – with the number of associate degree graduates up almost 48 percent compared to last year.

The 930 graduates represent more than 1,740 awards conferred, as many Gwinnett Tech students earn multiple graduate awards. To date, associate degrees earned have increased 47.8 percent and diplomas earned are up 51.6 percent, both compared to last year.

In recent years, Gwinnett Tech has conferred the largest number of graduate awards in the Technical College System of Georgia. The final number of graduates and graduate awards will be determined by early July; additional students may qualify with spring term results.

Among this year's graduates are 31 students comprising Gwinnett Tech's first class of associated degree nurses.
