A Surgical Technologist works directly with the surgeon in the operating room handling instruments, supplies and equipment and assisting the surgeon with patient care. In addition, Surgical Technologists are responsible for maintaining sterility and safe conditions during surgery. Surgical Technologists may work in hospital operating rooms, free standing day surgery facilities and in medical sales.
