Students of Gwinnett Tech's Sport and Recreation Management Program have an opportunity to specialize in recreation management, grounds management, sport management or sport and recreation administration.
Students capitalize on what they learn in the classroom by applying it to real-world internship and partnership opportunities with top-shelf sports and recreation organizations around the region. Some collaborations have included work with the Gwinnett Sports Commission, the sports and event management group, Lextra, Atlanta Spirit (promoters of the Hawks, Thrashers and Georgia Force) and The Braves baseball organization.
Graduates from Gwinnett Tech's Sport and Recreation Management Program find positions with professional and minor league sports teams, professional sports associations, athletic clubs, fitness clubs and parks and recreation centers.
Gwinnett Tech's sport and recreation management associate in applied science degree requires about eight quarters, or two years, to complete.
